Reggie Garrett - A Woman's Work (Is Never Done)
“A Woman’s Work (Is Never Done),” featuring Wayne Horvitz on piano, is included on Reggie Garrett‘s new album York’s Lament & Other Stories, which was produced with assistance from the Jack Straw Artist Support Program. The album CD and download will be available for purchase from Drums and Wires Recordings.

Agermos Chamber Music Project - The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Agermos Chamber Music Project performed their version of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” at our Fall 2018 Jack Straw Artist Showcase. They’ll play this and more seasonal favorites at a children’s Halloween concert this Saturday, October 29th at Faith Lutheran Church in Seattle. Tickets and more information here.

Athr - MMXX
“MMXX” is a single release by the Seattle-based artist Athr, produced in part through the Jack Straw Artist Support Program. The project covers era-specific themes of isolation and frustration. Watch the lyric video on YouTube.

Anaelsin - Poner fin al aislamiento
Esta pieza fue producida como parte del proyecto del Programa de Apoyo al Artista de la organización Jack Straw y realizado por la artista Marilyn Montúfar. El proyecto consiste de una serie de fotografías enfocadas en asesorar y fotografiar a jóvenes chicanas y mujeres migrantes de herencia Méxicana. Las jóvenes participantes fueron asesoradas en arte por la artista Marilyn y en autoexpresión a través de la escritura por Matt Malyon, Director Ejecutivo de la organización Underground Writing. A través del Programa de Apoyo al Artista, las jóvenes participantes tuvieron la oportunidad de grabar sus escritos y trabajos en los estudios de Jack Straw con capacitación adicional de la entrenadora vocal de Jack Straw, Brenda Arellano. El audio de este proyecto se incluirá en futuras instalaciones de arte.

Anaelsin - Ending the Isolation
This piece was produced as part of Marilyn Montúfar‘s Jack Straw Artist Support Program project, a photography series focused on mentoring and photographing Chicana and female migrant youth with heritage in Mexico. The participating youth have been mentored in art by Marilyn and in self-expression through writing by Matt Malyon, Executive Director of Underground Writing. Through the Artist Support Program, participating youth have the opportunity to record their writing and work in Jack Straw’s studios with additional training from Jack Straw vocal coach Brenda Arellano. The audio will be included in future art installations.
