During her first year of Jack Straw residency in 1998, Janice Giteck composed the score for Pat Ferrero’s 30 minute film Yield To Total Elation about an extraordinary, previously unknown architectural craftsman, Achilles Rizzoli (1896-1981).
Rizelli’s recently discovered work – huge Beaux-Arts influenced ink drawings of never-to-be built monuments accompanied by witty, poignant written commentary – reveals his interior world as well as the heroic role architecture played in early 20th century San Fransisco.
