Timothy Hill began his musical life as a singer-songwriter, before branching out as a multi-instrumentalist and harmonic (overtone) singer. His explorations brought him into situations where he performed with John Cage, Bill Frisell, and Jeff Buckley, and recorded with Pete Seeger, Pauline Oliveros and Brad Mehldau, among others. He has recorded several albums of original songs, as well as singing with the premier vocal ensembles known for incorporating overtone singing into their music, David Hykes and the Harmonic Choir, and Baird Hersey and Prana.
