For the third installment of our new Piano Series, Jack Straw Artist Jovino Santos Neto will perform with Collin Meredith. In his solo piano recitals, Jovino Santos Neto explores all the possibilities of the instrument, combining the rhythmic and harmonic audacity of Hermeto Pascoal’s pieces with his own Brazilian tone poems, spanning the distance between lyrical and effervescent within a few measures. Jovino invited Collin Meredith, a pianist, guitarist, and composer currently studying piano at Cornish College of the Arts, to join him for this event. Collin will perform a selection of jazz standards and original compositions.
