Join us for a reception and artist conversation with Trimpin and some of the artists who collaborated with him on Hear & Now.
This collaborative sculpture – on view now in the Atrium Gallery at Jack Straw Cultural Center – speaks to the immediacy of the homelessness crisis we currently face in Seattle. After building the basic structure, Trimpin invited Path with Art artists who have lived experience of homelessness into his studio to create original poetry, visual artwork, and music, with each facet drawing inspiration from the previous, as well as the theme: Hear & Now. These artists’ music, art, and poetry has been incorporated into this interactive, kinetic sculpture.
