Jack Straw New Media Gallery artists Ching-In Chen and Cassie Mira discuss their installation Breathing in a Time of Disaster, a public community ritual exploring the unit of breath through the intersection for meditation, health and environmental justice. In collaboration with climate data sound artist Judy Twedt, the artists invited Houston and Seattle area community artists to contribute to a community breathing archive.
Presented in conjunction with Asian/American Ecologies of Trans Care, an Imagining Trans Futures Symposium, and followed by an Imagining Trans Futures Symposium Showcase, both free and open to the public.
