Jack Straw Productions has just concluded its second year of VirtualConcert, an innovative new program that combines new music, the Internet and outreach activities. Thank you to everyone who participated in our residencies this year!

VirtualConcert uses the Internet to deliver interactive music and audio clips designed to illuminate the process of composition.

This past year, composer Jovino Santos Neto worked with Musicians Accord, the new music ensemble, on the creation of a new work incorporating Brazilian rhythms and found objects as percussion.

Throughout the two residencies (each a week long) hosted by JSP, the musicians worked with people from all over the Puget Sound area in a variety of outreach activities. Classes, workshops and conversations took place live and on the Internet.
