The score for Os Vagalumes has several sections that repeat as many times as the performers wish - Jovino refers to these as "loops". Players can play or be silent during each repeat of the loop, and have the option of improvising around the material found in the score.
Each of the following interactive compositions is based on one of these loops in the score. Try muting and unmuting tracks, changing the key and adjusting the tempo on each piece. You can also improvise your own melodies on Loops 2 and 6 by passing the mouse over the row of buttons at the bottom of the window.
